From Fire rises Smoke, and perhaps this is why the Alchemical Symbol of Fire is bisected horizontally by a Line to symbolize Wind/Air. Perpetually mobile and expanding diffusively, Wind maps on to the Gaseous State of Matter.

Winds can erode. Winds can fertilize. The Winds migrate. The Winds foretell.
